Cheap computer store in Portland

Can anyone recommend a good computer store in Portland, Oregon?

I'm going to be there this weekend and I might want to buy a laptop. I live in Vancouver BC right now and I go to this place, which has been around forever, is much cheaper than Best Buy et al, and has a wide range of product. Is there a comparable store in Portland? Especially one that will allow me to compare prices to see if this is worth it?

One place you might want to check out is FreeGeek. They have a store and the sell really high-quality refurbished laptops in the $200 range - but the selection is hit or miss.

Response by poster: Not so interested in refurbished. If it matters, I want something decent and durable in the $600 to $800 range.

There is a Frys in Wilsonville (~20 miles South of Portland).

Oh man, that Fry's is not very cool. One of their associates admitted to me, on the store floor, that they restock refurbished products alongside brand new stuff without marking them as refurbished. It's been a few years, so I hope that's changed, but I get a gross feeling from that place.

It does sound closest to the type of store you want, though. :-/

Yeah, I'm just chiming back in to say that I really don't know of any stores in Portland to buy PC laptops other than your run of the mill Best Buy sorts.
