What is the best way to read good resumes in a field?

I understand that people post their resumes at places like Monster.com and Careerbuilder.com, but you have to be an employer and pay for the privilege of reading them. Is there an easier way for regular folk to see what good resumes look like for people applying in a certain field? (I'm thinking of USDA/agricultural work specifically, but also wondering in general)

Response by poster: Clarification: I mean actual resumes, not sample resumes like you'd find in books. I realize that this probably involves personal information if it hasn't been edited out, but I'm still wondering.

Best answer: Jobs in the USDA would be listed on usajobs.gov. There is a feature that allows you to upload a resume and set it to private or public. Look for some resumes that are set to public and see how they look.

Best answer: There's two ways you can use LinkedIn (aka boring-facebook) for this. First, a number of people upload resumes that are downloadable. Second, people who are really using the service have included the same information and organized their profile much as their resume would be, without the layout. Browsing for either in the fields/positions you are looking in would be inspirationally useful.

Talk to a recruiter in your field. A recruiter once gave me a few "successful" resumes, with personal info taken out, so that I could improve my own. It was a big help.

I've had success putting in resume + [job field] in Google. You won't find the best necessarily but I found some good ones that people had put out there -- well-designed and interesting in their wording and organization.
