Does anyone know when the Australian Net-Filter legislation is to be put to the House of Representatives? How long does it takes for them to debate it before they vote? Then when does it go before the senate? And how long does it take for the senate to debate and vote on it?

Best answer: No draft legislation has been released. Nothing seems to have happened since December (save for the government banking political capital provided by its announced actions' putative opponents). The government says (see FAQ) something will happen in the middle of the year. It is unlikely (in my view) that any legislation will go before the Senate before the next Federal election.

My thanks also to Hawthorne. Here's hoping it just goes away (not likely).
