What is the green flag with a blue canton that appears on the back of the uniforms of the University of Vermont's men's basketball team? It can be seen fairly clearly here and here.
It looks like it could be a US flag with green and black stripes, but the canton is still blue. I know it's not the Vermont state flag. Any Catamounts out there know what it is, or why it is being worn?

Best answer: Not from Vermont myself, but I think it's the flag of the Green Mountain Boys, still used by the Vermont National Guard.

Response by poster: That's it indeed. AskMe is fabulous. Go Catamounts, and go Green Mountain Boys!
