Help me find alternatives to del.icio.us

Are there any alternatives to del.icio.us that A) allow private bookmarks and proper categorization, B) have simple (I'm thinking along the lines of FoxyLicious for Firefox) and complete browser integration and C) are reasonably fast.(Gmail-type would be nice, I could tolerate slightly slower)
I have checked Furl, but I get the feeling it's not quite what I want. Hyperlinkomatic seems to be close, but the couple of times I have hit the site it hasn't been teriffically fast, and for my bookmarks that's not really acceptable. Moreover, I haven't seen anything like the above-mentioned FoxyLicious for it.
Oh... in case it wasn't obvious, I am not willing to use Internet Explorer for any reason whatsoever. So, if a site's browser integration consists of an IE toolbar, it's not good enough. Also, I am willing to consider low-bandwidth-consuming solutions that can be run on an Apache or Tomcat webserver by myself, as long as I can integrate them into the browser easily. I can host those pretty simply.

Have you tried A9? I've only tested it briefly because there's no Safari toolbar -- this also means I can't really comment on (B) -- but it does use hierarchical folders and was reasonably fast (and I'm thinking the toolbar might be faster than the web interface).

Response by poster: gleuschk: Yes, I've tried the bookmark synch extension, which is about the closest I've come to it. The thing is, I kind of want the best of both worlds -- heirarchial taxonomy mixed with tagging so that I can keep one bookmark on multiple nodes.
The sync extension is okay, but not 100% solid (in fact, this search has been spurred by the extension failing to work properly) and also doesn't work for me at school where unsecured (read: ftp) connections are not allowed out over the firewall guarding the wireless network. Therefore, the one most mobile PC I have cannot make use of the synchronizer.
Still, that's close.
Also, re: A9, no. Haven't yet. However, I'm downloading the toolbar right now, because that does look promising.

Response by poster: To anyone else interested in this: A9 is okay, but there are issues with its bookmark setup that are kind of frustrating -- specifically that I cannot open bookmarks in a new tab by middle-clicking on them like I can with the firefox main menu.
Also it would be nice to have some kind of automatic bookmark synchronization for the times when you add bookmarks using firefox's add bookmark instead of A9's

If so, the only solution I know of is your browser bookmarks. They're private, easily categorized hierarchically, integrated into your browser (duh), and as fast as anything can be. Is this unacceptable for some reason? If the problem is that you don't want to be tied to one computer, you might check out the bookmarks sync extension.
