Artists creating in response to Iraq war

Looking for American or European artists creating artwork in response to the War in Iraq [m.i.]

Specifically, I was given an indirect lead of an artist by the name of "Steve Lambert", who apparently was/is embedded with US troops in Iraq, and has subsequently painted his experience. However, I've googled his name extensively, which brought me to a chap by the same name that works on the West Coast with the San Francisco Print Collective and The Budget Gallery. After email correspondence, it was determined that this was not the same person; nor does he know of another artist by the same name. Therefore, does anyone know of this artist I mention?

If not, could anyone recommend artists or art organizations that are specifically memorializing and/or commemorating the recent events in Iraq exclusively through artwork? Appealing to me is less graphic, sans propaganda - without overtly partisan dogma (no current administration slurs).

thank you PY! Just when i had given up all hope, you have saved me. Although i'm not quite sure if this is the artist (the president specifically said & wrote "steve lambert"...this may be culprit of miscommunication. I will find out on Monday.

my buddy dave did two pieces for the election, which aren't war-related, unless you consider the war to be an election issue :)
