Can some one explain simply how to program a Radio Shack PRO-2018 Scanning Receiver Police/Fire/Weather/Air/Marine Radio? Bonus for finding Minnesota fire and police codes?

Do you have a manual for the radio? If not, have you looked for it on the web, such as at radioshack.com?

Have you made any effort to find the desired radio frequencies? I googled "police frequencies" and the results look pretty promising.

Response by poster: Found the manual online but just can't make sense of it because what I tried didn't work. Hoping to find a simple answer from someone who may have worked at Radio Shack or owns this same unit.

Most RS scanners go into scan immediately. After you turn it on, press "manual" "1" then "manual" again. It should be on ch. 1. Press "program" and enter 162.400 then press "enter".
Do you hear anything? Press "program" and enter into ch. 2 162.450, do this for ch 3: 162.500; ch 4: 162.550. If you hear NOAA Weather Radio on one of these frequencies then you're doing it right.

Now go to radioreference.com, find your area in the data base section, find the freqs you want and program them in. I mefimailed you.
