Halloween Costumes for a Couple

Please post some cool ideas for Halloween costumes for a couple!

Big brownie points if it's superhero-themed. (But this is just brownie points, please post anything that would be good for a couple!) PS if it matters, she's thin, I'm relatively athletic, she's 5'7" and I'm 5'9". But really, post without that as a concern -- even if we don't wear it, I am sure some MeFiers will get inspired :-)

I've been trying for years, without success, to get my parents to go as Julius and Ethel Rosenberg.

Jack Skellington and Sally
The Monarch and Doctor Girlfriend
Pregnant lady giving birth to a grown man (NSFAnyone, but funny in a "eeeeww!" sorta way!
Freud and daughter (she's on his lap, wearing a slip, of course!)
Siamese twins
The Mythbusters
He's a stripper, she's got a handful of monopoly money and a bald head, fat suit, cheesy moustache, etc...
Cheese and crackers
Film stars
Infamous/Famous couples
Movie/comic/pop characters
Angel Devil
Red Riding Hood and Wolf
Beer and Peanuts or other snack
Dish and spoon, running away, of course!
People from a famous painting - not necessarily American Gothic...

So many to choose... do you want the happy matching friendly pair, or the angsty pair with one chasing the other?

One year my ex-bf and I went as Courtney Love and dead Kurt Cobain. The next year we were Ghostbusters (his, mine).

Ms. Lutoslawski and I once went as Jean Paul Sartre and Simone DeBeauvoir, with varying success.

Guessing this is a hetero relationship. How obscurely superhero-themed are you willing to go? 'Cause I personally love the B- and C- listers. Here a bunch of comics-inspired ideas.

There's Blue Beetle and Booster Gold (Both men, but it works just as well for women.)
Peter Parker and MJ.
Kyle Rayner and the Girlfriend-in-a-Fridge would be funny.

Searching around online, I also found:
Joker and Harley Quinn (I like this idea a lot.)
Mr Fantastic and Invisible Woman
Wolverine and Mariko (his Japanese wife who was killed.)
Peter Parker and MJ
Clark Kent and Lois Lane
Gambit and Rogue
Green Arrow and Black Canary
Ultimate Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch.
Batman and Catwoman (or Batgirl and Robin.)
Cyclops and Jean Grey - or Emma Frost, if you want to wear something ridiculous.
Deadpool and... female deadpool.

There's the whole current DC Blackest Night event, one or both of you could do the zombie counterparts of superheroes.

Bender and Flexo. Essentially the same costume except one has a beard. You could swap this during the night to confuse people.

Zan and Jana from the Wondertwins. As Adults. Burnt out mormony-incestually married. Really all you need is the Z, J on a shirt, a robe, some witty banter and the 'sound'

One man I know wore a shirt with a huge letter E on it, and his wife wore a shirt with a big picture of a paperclip. He was an "e-male" and she was the attachment.
