How Do I Get My Website/Blog Out There?

How can I expand my blog/website's reach.
I launched my site last week and want to increase its reach around the planet ; ) What options do I have? I teach in the Los Angeles area and would like to begin doing workshops throughout the rest of the country and overseas. I'd like to use the website and blog as a means of increasing my visibility and building my network.

Promote it within your circle of study/interest/whatnot. Actively contact other sites that have a similar focus and promote your product (the site/your lessons) in hopes of having your site cross-linked, perhaps offering to link back to their site.

if you are on facebook, you can configure your Notes section to track the updates to one blog. It will post new posts to your blog as notes on your FB account so at least it will be more in front of the eyes of your facebook friends.

Is it the website that's currently in your profile? Because that one looks like a link farm. You should be spending your time making your blog useful, or interesting, or pretty, or funny, whatever your goal is. Don't worry about publicity until you have some actual content.
If it's a different website, just ignore me.

You're probably not going to get to do workshops by having a (link farm) website. Figure out what you want to teach, learn that subject deeply, produce useful workshops, and after that blog about the things you're learning/how you're teaching them.

Make it readable, make it useful and relevant, and make it not look shady. Then think about promoting it.

Your site doesn't say anything about you doing workshops. You should start by clearly stating your services and why you are better than your competition. At the moment your site is overrun with advertising and has no message of its own or reason for people to visit your site rather than a primary source elsewhere.
