What happened to HumaneText.service? I have been searching about Markdown or Textile markup in OS X, and every couple of articles that come up mention this HumaneText.service, which is supposed to be cool and great. The site of the project seems to have been abandoned for at least a couple of months, and there does not seem to be anyone mentioning the service since 2006 or so. I really wanted to try it, but it just seems to have vanished into thin air.

Archive.org last recorded the site in May 08, and didn't capture anything indicating the site would go down. The domain won't expire for a couple more years, but the home page looks like a dreamhost error page.

You might still be able to grab the download from one of the archived pages (link is the 'No 5' text near the top of the page).

Thanks, I had tried so many things that I completely forgot to check archive.org. I am off to test it then. But the mystery of the site that has disappeared remains! :)
