Well, the font on the plain Ruby logo is Goudy Bold - you can tell because of the super-stubby descender on the lower-case "y." The other one I don't know off the top of my head. posted by Optimus Chyme at 1:01 PM on August 24
The Rails logo looks kinda like a rounded-off verision of Test Pilot Collective's Mechanical posted by setanor at 1:28 PM on August 24
Not sure. But I did some research and it appears that the Rails logo was designed by John Hicks.
If you're looking for something similar, the Base fonts form emigre are pretty close.
