Recommend Career Coach in Seattle

I need recommendations for a career coach or career counselor in the Seattle area. I'm in my mid-40s, just got laid off for the 5th time throughout my 13 years in the web/tech industry, and have been thinking for a few months that I need a change, but I don't know what my next move is. I think I want more meaning in my work life instead of just going through the motions building the next widget for synergistic end to end solutions or some other corporate B.S. I don't just want a career counselor who will give me a bunch of tests and say "you should be a journalist or a librarian or whatever", I really want someone who will help me figure out how to be more fulfilled in my work life.

Curt Rosengren is awesome and I'm pretty sure he's in the Seattle area. He also does remote coaching. He focuses on helping people figure out what they love and feel passionate about what they do--which sounds exactly like what you're looking for.

Full disclosure: He's an internet friend of mine and I really respect the work that he does.

I've seen The Creative Lawyer come up every once in awhile. I hear it works for non-lawyers, too. I haven't read it, but based on the amazon page, it might meet your needs. Maybe a local library has a copy?

You may want to look at Richard Bolles' website. His book "What color is your parachute" is certainly the giant in the area of figuring out what meaningful work means to you. The website also has a section dealing with finding career counselors.
