Deco pine o' mine

What is this plant?

I got it at Home Depot just after Christmas in 2007. It looks exactly like the plant in this Black Friday ad from 2007, down to the presents and the Santa-on-a-stick that's now sitting on my desk at work somewhere. Unfortunately, I can't find a common or scientific name and the plant info card that came with it is long gone. Searching for just "deco pine" gets a lot of art deco links, and a picture of a Norfolk pine that doesn't look quite right.

I just recently repotted the plant out of the original container (same as the one in the ad link) and that got me inspired to learn some more about it.

Best answer: Yes... a Norfolk Island Pine. They can get big! We had some when I was a kid that were 5 and 6 feet tall.

Response by poster: Ah hah, thanks pseudostrabismus and hortense! I found a picture but its needles were too long and spread apart, so I didn't think that was it. The first link in that Google.ca search looks exactly like my plant, just taller.

That was quick, hive mind. :)
