Help me find faux historical news program about Midievil Europe.

Help me find a historical faux-news program that I remember from my childhood.

I remember seeing a program when I was young (early 80's) that was formatted like a daily news program, but was about a medieval Europe. I seem to remember it being an educational program and it might have been on the in class "Channel One" that was in the schools or on PBS.

I was hoping that someone might be able to name this program for me or point me in the direction of it if it is out on DVD. Any takers on this one?

Was it Peter Watkins's film Culloden?

This sounds an awful lot like History Bites which came about far too late but might still be something you are interested in.

Sounds to me an awful lot like Timeline, although that was '89.
