finding the perfect fit

Looking for an expert tailor in Chicago.

I can't seem to find someone who can tailor pants with precision, even basic hemlines. Ideally the tailor would be on the northside or the loop.

(personal recommendations only please, not Yelp). thanks.

I use Tails in Old Town (1414 N Wells St Ste 1). Recommended in this thread.

I've had about ten pieces taken in and was very happy with all but one. I suspect if I had asked him to make some adjustments in the pinning process, that one would have been great (like everything else I brought in).

Tailor's Touch on Oak St.

Last year I needed someone who could alter a beautiful, expensive, and intricately designed XL dress down to fit my very petite frame. I was told by a seamstress friend that this is where Oprah goes for her clothing, which gave me a good deal of confidence. I was super pleased with the results and turnaround time.
