ipod touch going crazy?

Why does my ipod touch keep rebooting automatically?

My ipod touch is 3 months old. Over the last two weeks, I find that it just reboots randomly several times in a row. The only way to make it stop is to do a hard reboot and then restart.
The trigger most of the time is when I hit the sleep button. What should I do? Update the software or take it back to an Apple store?

Best answer: Apple store, mine did that and it turned out that the switch was actually broken, so that the lightest pressure on the top of the device was triggering the switch and causing to it reboot and sleep and basically be a pain in the backside. Genius took one look at it and handed me a new(refurb) which has behaved just fine.
