What Battlestar Galactica themed food should I serve?

I'm looking for ideas for Battlestar Galactica themed food.
If you're a fan of the show you are well aware that this Friday is the premier of Season 4.5. I'm having people over to watch and I'd like to make something special. I can't remember any scenes in the series in which what they're eating really stands out and I'm at a loss except for vague ideas for Zodiac themed food. Any suggestions?

Response by poster: I could make lots and lots of Jello salad. That has a creepy appeal to it...

Best answer: Adama loves his noodles. Some noodle dish should be included.

Best answer: Yeah, a huge pot of ramen should be involved. That's the only thing I remember actually seeing people eat. Oil or some soy-based sauce should be used, as I don't remember seeing them use any tomato or cream based sauces. Think Asian.

Starbucks coffee.
Also, wait a year and a half before serving the fifth course.

TOAST FOR THE WIN.
also, square food with the corners cut off of it.
when plating things, try for lots of identical rows of things lined up. there are many copies. and they have a plan.

Response by poster: Dammit, le morte de bea arthur, now I want one of those toasters. The ones on eBay are expensive but I'd be able to start my day with my toast telling me to "frak off".

Homemade pizza in that octagonal-rectangle shape (I'm sure there's a name for that, but that's the best I've got.)
Whiskey?
Maybe some kind of pastry with 2 kinds of filling, one "Human" and one "Cylon", and no way to tell the two apart?

Helo appears to eat green blow-pops in the miniseries.

Yeah, a huge pot of ramen should be involved.
I had a friend talk my ear off about how they had to be buckwheat noodles, because buckwheat would be the most efficient plant to cultivate artificially in space.
And I know there's a brand of cracker that has the same hexagonal shape of the battlestar dogtags.

Response by poster: I'm thinking maybe a pot of algae/ramen soup. What would be a good substitute for algae?

Oh, and the steak knife that Starbuck uses after stabbing Leobin in the gut on New Caprica. You could have little steak cubes and place nearby a big steak knife smeared with cherry pie filling.

A friend of mine had a Battlestar themed Sedar, which involved cutting the corners off the Matzoh.

You could use wakame to sub for algae in your soup.

Just yesterday I saw crackers that are basically rectangles with the corners cut off, but damned if I can remember what brand they were.

Best answer: Seconding a pile of small delicious pies, most with meat inside, some with raspberry. Or: lots of really bad puns? Admiral Candy Cain; Felix Gaetorade, or Felix Gateau; Leek Adama. A nice green flatfish curry with coconut milk and lemongrass - Sole Thai. (Or chicken instead of sole, and Colonel Thai).

Make a rectangular cake and cut the corners off before you apply frosting.

Response by poster: Noodles win the day. I'll be going with a miso soup with ramen, seaweed and tofu (since algae isn't readily available and miso is made with a fungus - close enough, right?). severalbees, my original idea was many meat and desert pies based on the Zodiac. I'm going to go with that for the series finale.
Thanks all!
