Auto funky slideshow

Are there any standalone image to slideshow apps (Mac or Windows) that can autonomously generate videos in the Animoto style?

Here's an example of what they can generate. I like the style, and how easily it can be produced. But their services costs $30/year to make anything greater than 30 seconds, and an extra $5/video to be able to download DVD quality results.

closest I can find for you is Slideshow Pro but I don't think it's going to be exactly what you are looking for. I looked on their forums for "Animoto" and nothing came up.

You also have to have a handle on Flash to really get into the nuts and bolts of it. Sorry I don't have a better answer for you. I use this all the time and love it.

To follow up to my own question, Apple announced iLife '09 today, in which the new iPhoto can do themed auto generated slideshows. Though the generated output is not quite in the style I was looking for, it's good enough.
