Suggestions for toddler-friendly activities in Snowmass/Aspen, CO?

Am traveling to stay in Snowmass for a few days in a rented house w/ family and friends, and access to a vehicle. I have tried both skiing and snowboarding, and they are just not for me. In fact, I am not a big fan of being outdoors for very long in the cold weather. I will be bringing my 14 month old little one, who is just now walking well, but likewise is not a fan of the cold weather. Is there any hope for not being a stick-in-the mud while vacationing with skiing relatives? Can anyone suggest activities that might be fun for both of us while others hit the slopes? I am game for any and all indoor and limited outdoor suggestions.

The ski resorts have been working on your problem for years. The resort's website (i.e., the resort where the others are skiing) will tell you all about their kiddie activities for children whose adults are skiing. And they'll teach your kid to enjoy the cold weather.

If you have a vehicle & carseat, you can drive up to Glenwood Springs and swim in the hot springs pool.

Right in Snowmass at the base village is The Treehouse Kids' Adventure Center. They have indoor activities. As well as après and evening activities for kids (and/or their families), they also offer childcare services.

In Snowmass you'll find the Snowmass Village Recreation Center.

There are plenty of activities at the ARC (Aspen Recreational Center) which is adjacent to the midddle and high schools. Non-residents are welcome for a daily fee. There's also "The Playhouse" which is located at the Red Brick Recreation Center (downtown Aspen).

On Tuesday's (10:15 a.m. -- toddlers; 11:00 -- preschoolers) the Aspen Pitkin County Library has storyhours. I have also walked in and seen children storyhours at the Explore Booksellers & Bistro in Aspen.
