Where have all the sonic screwdrivers gone?

TARDIS Filter: Has the supply of Doctor Who toys into NYC dried up completely? Am I not looking in the right places? Where have all the sonic screwdrivers gone? Help!

Basically, I have a short list of Doctor Who toys that are going to make awesome Christmas presents next month. (I'm not mentioning them, as some of the recipients also read this site.) Last year, this would have been no trouble thanks to Forbidden Planet, but recently they stopped stocking them and don't have any plans to resume.

Heading to other comic stores like Midtown and Jim Hanley's has been a bust, and Forbidden Planet's website is out of stock on some of the more crucial items I'm planning on getting. None of the above mentioned stores can do special orders, either.

Can anyone suggest any other places I can search in NYC? I'm open to buying online, as well, but would rather avoid Ebay or discount sites if possible. Thanks!

Amazon has quite a selection. I've also had good luck with Newbury Comics.

Response by poster: So very close! Those links have a couple of the things I'm looking for, but I'm coming up empty on the main attraction (so to speak). Really wish I had bought these when I saw them...
