Ian Fleming's "From Russia With Love"... how does it end? (possible spoilers)

Don't ask why. I need to know how 'From Russia With Love' ends.

What's the final line? Is it the following? "Bond pivoted slowly on his heel and crashed head-long to the wine red floor."

Best answer: According to Amazon's "search inside the book" feature, you have the last line correct ("headlong," not "head-long" and "wine-red," not "wine red").

Probably wanted to make sure he wasn't missing any pages out of the back of the book - it *is* a strange ending...

If memory serves, the ending is a cliffhanger that leads into the next book, Dr. No.

**SPOILERS**

Bond was revived from the poison blade attack, to which he was vulnerable when his Baretta caught on his clothing. Hence M.'s enforced replacement of the Baretta with the Walther PPK at the start of the "No" film and book.
