Pigeons and Cookies and Trash

What are the words to this Sesame Street Song? - We hear "Everybody loves [something], as sure as [something] loves [something], and googling for lyrics isn't helping fill in the blanks.

Everybody loves something, as sure as Dad's mustache? That's what I hear, lol.

I got Dad's mustache, too, before I even saw TPS's answer.

Yeah, I'm with ThePinkSuperhero. When you're rhyming "trash" a bunch of times, you're going to be scraping the bottom of the barrel pretty quick.

(first [something] is "something". Overactive square bracketing there...)

Though googling "as sure as dad's mustache" comes back with just one result.... TPS's answer.

I just want to thank all of you. I'm Artw's wife and our 22 month-old daughter always wants me to sing this song. It was getting more and more disturbing to me to sing 'as sure as death must dash' to her but I couldn't think of anything else.

Whether or not it is the right answer, I'll be trilling 'dad's moustache' from now on.

You metafilter people ROCK!
