News Parents Can Use?

What are your favorite media resources for parenting?

As a new parent, I'm interested in news/commentary aimed at my demographic. I find most parenting magazines very treacly though. Which ones do you find worthwhile? And if you wouldn't mind, please tell me what you like about them.

Are there any blogs or other online resources that you like? I like "Ask Moxie" and I check out Parent Hacks occasionally.

Thanks!

New parent in waiting here.. but I like Wired's GeekDad blog.

I'd link to it, but I'm on my iPhone (damn you copy/paste!)

I really enjoy Pediacast - a podcast by a pediatrician who keeps parents updated with recent news as well as answering parent's questions.

I made this list of my fave baby blogs... a lot of them cover news stories. The Babble blogs are good for this in particular.

In addition to Ask Moxie and Parent Hacks, I also enjoy Babycheapskate.blogspot.com and zrecs.blogspot.com both of which are in k8t's linked list, above.
I also like the Baby Bargains Book Blog.

I tried out Thingamababy, but ended up really disliking the author; ymmv.
Goodyblog and Cool Mom Picks are both hip product review sites that I subscribe to via rss, but don't click through often - I find their stuff is mostly unnecessary and/or out of my price range.

Due to 'free with purchase' subscriptions, I get both Parents and Parenting, and I don't think I'd necessarily pay money for either one. If I had to choose for free, I think I'd go with Parents.

Ooops, I forgot to include the Why.
Z Recommends has wonderful, thorough reviews of baby and toddler products. They are cutting-edge on the whole BPA thing, and they are very thorough in their reviewing.
Baby Cheapskate posts alerts as to which (chain) stores are having what sales when, including online deals, and lots of diaper-buying advice
Baby Bargains Book Blog talks about mainstream baby/kid gear, including new products and recalls. It's written by the authors of "Baby Bargains", a book you should get if you don't already have it.
