What is this song with whistling?

I was in Mexico City and went to Lipstick, a cute loungy gay bar and they played this song that I cannot for the life of me find. It had a female singer, and was a kinda dance/pop/gay song, thought dont remember if it was in english or not, but the chorus was this catchy whistling tune that everyone in the bar knew as they imitated the whistling in a funny/cute/innocent way. Anyone know what Im talking about?

You're describing the entire corpus of campy gay music.. You have to have some more specifics!

Response by poster: No, this is very specifically whistling with your mouth/lips, not using a whistle and not the screetching techno whistle that used to be popular.

Best answer: You're thinking of Carolina Marquez - "The Killer's Song". The whistled tune is the tune Daryl Hannah's character whistled in Kill Bill...

Response by poster: Wow, thanks! I guess if I saw that movie I'd know it.

Well, the song wasn't used in the movie - I guess Marquez sampled (or, more likely, reworked) the whistling ditty once the film had become popular to make her Europop pap - but I guess you'd have recognised the whistling, at least...

Just some more fun info from imdb...

[In the movie Kill Bill Vol. 1] the tune whistled by Daryl Hannah's character in the hospital hallway is the same as that whistled by the strange young man in Twisted Nerve (1968). During his 1996 film festival in Austin, Texas, Quentin Tarantino screened Twisted Nerve.
