Is there an unofficial Prairie Home Companion podcast of the whole show?
I love prairie home companion, but am never around a radio when it's on. I listen to most of the NPR programs I like through podcasts so I have something to do on public transit. But APHC only offers a podcast of the Tales from Lake Wobegon. I want the whole show!
You can stream past shows from the APHC website, and I know I could use an audiostream recording program to save the stream, and then transfer it to my ipod, but I'm hoping someone else is already going through the trouble of doing this.
I've found a few other unofficial podcasts of shows that don't have their own podcasts, but I havn't been able to find this for APHC. So does anyone know if it exists?

Do you have a television? Do you have a Tivo/DVR and a cable subscription that has radio channels? My cable has radio channels way up in the 900s. I didn't know what you'd do with those channels until I remembered that shows like Says You and Wiretap don't have podcasts. I record them to Tivo and listen to them when I cook.

If you can't find someone else who is hosting an unofficial version, and you have a Windows machine that is on all the time, you might find the instructions here and here to be helpful. (If you don't have a Windows box, I'm sure that similar methods exist using mplayer and shell scripting for *nix and OS X, but I can't help you with them.)
I use the method outlined in the first link to timeshift a couple of shows that don't have podcasts. If you want to go to the trouble of setting up a webserver on your computer, as outlined in the second link, you can have your recorded shows appear in your iPod's "Podcasts" menu. I find it easier to tag them as "Podcast", have iTunes Library Updater add them to my iTunes library as a scheduled task, and create a smart playlist containing all items tagged with "Podcast". It takes a little fiddling to set up, but once you're done it's virtually maintenance-free.

So no, I don't think there is.
