Not Christy Turlington, not Cindy Crawford, definitely not Linda Evangelista...

I'm trying to remember the name of a supermodel from the late 80's/early 90's.
I'm slightly horrified that I'm using a question for this, but it's making me and a few other people crazy trying to think of this name.
So this was someone who was probably in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issues in the late 80s (88,89) to early 90s (90-93). She had blonde straight hair and looked fairly All-American (ugh, I hate that phrase, but it's all I can come up with). I think she was on the cover of Vogue or Elle (maybe even Vanity Fair) with another blonde model and they looked like twins. It's not Christy Turlington or Cindy Crawford. I think she was maybe not as super as those supermodels.
I think there were rumors she was a lesbian or actually was dating a woman at some point. Any one know who I'm talking about?

Niki Taylor? Kristy Taylor (her sister)? The "twins" thing made me think of them. That's all I've got.

Niki Taylor?
She had a sister who looked a lot like her (maybe explaining the twins thing?)

Christie Brinkley? Maybe she's too early 80's.

Best answer: Almost definitely Rachel Williams. Famous for her long legs in the "Absolut Cameron" ad. And I spent a night in her apartment once. Not with her; long sad story.

Kathy Ireland?
probably not, but it's been awhile since I've thought of you Kathy... yes... for quite some time I have not thought of you, and now I do. Once again.... we shall be together now, you and I. Together we shall be.

Are you thinking of Tatjana Patitz? She was up there with Christy and Cindy (she was in George Michael's Freedom 90 video) but she never became quite as famous. I think this might be the Vogue cover you're remembering. That's Tatjana and another model.

Just realized that Patitz was not in Sports Illustrated so probably not her after all.

Response by poster: tractorfeed and nicwolff you have made my day. Yes, it was Rachel Williams! This has been driving me crazy, AskMe comes through again. Thanks so much.
