Dead GPS

Where can I get advice on diagnosing a problem with a inVion GPS-4V-106-IUS GPS receiver? No useful information is available on the inVion web site. The unit is stuck in entertainment mode. It appears to use Windows CE as an OS. The map files are accessable on its the flash card with my main computer, but not when the card is read in the GPS. This unit is obsolete and is not worth sending out for repair. I would like to get it running again jest for bragging rights in my family. I do not have Usenet access at the moment.

Have you yanked the battery (is it possible?) and left it for about 20-30minutes? That might be enough to force a full reboot.
