Cheap overnight housing in Grand Marais August 7?

Affordable place to crash in Grand Marais, MN? I'll be up there on August 7 in between trips to the Boundary Waters, and need a cheap place for me and my packs to stay the night...

I'm going on 2 Boundary Waters trips starting next week, and have a night in between them that I need to stay overnight in or around Grand Marais. Looking for anywhere cheap ($75 or less). Any recommendations from past visitors?

Grand Marias Web Site. Click "Lodging" then "Hotels/Motels"

No past experience though, hopefully other MeFolk can help with that.

Northern MN is still chock-a-block with family-run motels. Most run from $39-59/night. You shouldn't have any problem finding one - just ask around.

I stayed here in March. It was clean, but nothing special. Looked like it had last been renovated in the early 80s. If I needed a cheap, clean, place to stay for one night, I'd stay there again.
