Acrobat Touchups

The "Touchup Item" tool in my version of Acrobat has disappeared. Can you help me find it? [More inside...]

I've been happily using Acrobat 5.0 in Mac OS 10.3 for some time. Recently the "Touchup Item" tool disappeared.

No amount of clicking, shift-clicking, Apple-clicking or CTRL-clicking will make it re-appear. I've even reinstalled the software but the same thing occurs.

I notice there is a Touch-Up plugin in the plugins folder... could this be malfunctioning somehow?

Alternatively, is there a way for me to save a file made in Acrobat 6 as an Acrobat 5 PDF? I need my PDF files to be compatible with older readers.

Thanks in advance :)

You can save backwards in 6. Under the Advanced menu there is a selection called "PDF Otimizer." Using that you can go to 4 or 5.

And I'd try trashing the prefs of Acrobat 5 and see if that kicks "touchup" in the derriere. Look in both hard drive and user libraries.
