I need a cool remix of a non-denominational holiday song.

Does anyone know of a version of "Baby It's Cold Outside" or "Let It Snow" or "Winter Wonderland" or any other non-denominational holiday song that has been remade so that it's upbeat? A cool electronic or hip hop remix would be awesome. It's important that it's upbeat and not slow and mellow like the originals are usually sung.
Holly Cole's album Baby It's Cold Outside is a little jazz/blues-y but not at all a downer to listen to. I recommend it highly.

Billy Idol (hard to believe, but it's true) put out a Christmas album, with songs such as Winter Wonderland.

Mulato Beat's remix of Baby It's Cold Outside is pretty cool--it's really bare and simple.

On the lines of wtf Christmas albums, Twisted Sister put one out a couple years ago. A different genre, but definitely...not mellow. I got roped into going to the show, and Dee Snyder singing Silver Bells in full costume and makeup is a sight to see.

The Six Degrees Collection Christmas Remixed has pretty much exactly that.

Anything wrong with songs like "Marshmallow World","Jingle Bell Rock", or "Sleigh Ride"? Or do you want specifically songs that were originally slow and have been remixed?

You might try something from Bootsy Collins' recently released Christmas Is 4 Ever, especially "Chestnutz (The Christmas Song)". There are many tracks on the album that could be contenders, though.

I'm not sure if is non-denominational, but I've always been a huge fan of Bruce Springsteen's "Santa Clause Is Coming To Town."

You might like something off the Brian Setzer Orchestra's Boogie Woogie Christmas Album. Brian Setzer is the former singer of The Stray Cats. Here is their version of Winter Wonderland.
Happy holidays!

My favorite Christmas album is Esquivel's Merry Christmas from the Space-Age Bachelor Pad, but I acknowledge that Esquivel's unique brand of hepcat 50s electronica isn't everyone's ice-cold martini.

Hellogoodbye did a remix of Winter Wonderland in their electropop kind of sound, but it's not much faster than the original.

Stevie Wonder and India Arie recorded a duet of "The Christmas Song (Chestnuts)," which is pretty upbeat. Additionally, if you have access to iTunes, you may want to check out their "Alternative Christmas" selection. Some of the songs may be what you're looking for.

Well the classic would be Run-D.M.C.'s Christmas in Hollis which isn't quite a remake but samples or quotes a bunch of carols and ecclesiastical Christmas music.

My mom has a Christmas CD from the Christian group Avalon that she plays at every yuletide gathering. One song in particular, a remake of Winter Wonderland, is the very definition of upbeat. Lots of drums and swing music trumpets and enthusiastic shouting all backed by a lively piano. You can listen to/download it here.
