Romantic NYC this Friday night...
I'm taking my boyfriend to Cafe des Artistes on Friday night (his request), and want to do something romantic/special (preferably on the Upper West Side)... any quiet, out of the way places off the beaten path we should go?

Shakespeare in the Park is a nice date.

A drink at the 79th St boat basin? I'm not sure how quiet it is, but I've always liked the location, especially around sunset.

Go to the Met roof around early evening, look at Jeff Koons, walk around the Central Park reservoir afterwards.
The American Folk Art Museum, next to MoMA, has Friday music nights which are pretty awesome. It's an oasis of music and quiet (and AC) in the middle of midtown, and it's really nice to grab a beer from their cafe and to listen to music. There's never been more than 30 people there when I've gone, so it always feels like a small coffeehouse/open mic..
Riverside park? The Lincoln Center fountain? Go boating on the Central Park lake before dinner?
