Recommendation for reporting tools for MySQL database

Need recommendations for tools (e.g. Crystal Reports) to build reports from a MySQL database. Should be easy enough for a non-programmer to use. What are the pro's and con's of the tool(s)?

We use Jasper where I work, but then, we're a Java shop.

Crystal is OK -- but how complex are the reports?

At our workshop we use BIRT attached to a J2EE application server. But this may be way more than what you are looking for. Here is some more info:
