Looking for dentist in Durham or Chapel Hill

I'm looking for a good dentist in the Durham/Chapel Hill, NC area.

My husband needs extensive dental work, to include several extractions, root canals, crowns, bridges, etc. He is unhappy with his current dentist. Does anybody have a dentist in Durham/Chapel Hill that they just love? He doesn't need anything fancy-schmancy like those sedation dentistry clinics.

I had excellent experience with Shailesh Patel. He is in Cary, so a little out of your way. Relatively young, so recently out of dental school. Has the latest, greatest digital equipment and technique.

Best answer: I highly recommend Lionel Nelson (www.nelsongentledental.com). He's in Durham and excellent. I'm actually getting a crown replaced by him tomorrow. Really nice staff, he's a good guy, and they do excellent work.

Stephen Randall in Carrboro is a good one. I had two friends independently recommend him, and my experiences there have been good. He referred me to an endodontist for my root canal (Nona Breeland). She was good as well. I've had two different dentists make endodontist referrals, and each time was to the same one.

I go to The UNC Dental Faculty Practice, and they've been pretty good.

My spouse and I both see Joel Wagoner in Chapel Hill and have been very happy with him (and his son!). He's at 121 S Estes Dr Suite 205A, in the office building next to the post office. The phone there is (919) 968-9697.

They aren't quite in Durham/Chapel Hill, but Raleigh, but Martin Dental is the best dentist I've ever been to.
