Baby, I can't drive your car

Anybody know a good, credible adult driving school in the Minneapolis area?

I'm 22 and looking to learn how to drive. Unfortunately, as a relatively recent transplant, I don't know anyone willing to teach me on their own car. I'm not an especially nervous person, but if I'm going to be paying for lessons, I'd like it to not be a scam. Does anybody know any good driving schools in the Minneapolis area?

I don't know a good driving school in Minneapolis. But I will teach you to drive if you pay me, like, minimum wage + gas.

I can't drive a stick though. Such archaic apparatuses are too complicated for us millenials, or whatever they're calling our generation. What, I can't just push one button and it takes me wherever I want? But seriously though, I'd teach you to drive, for the price stated above. I believe myself to be a nice, trustworthy person. I won't be able to teach you any fancy schmancy methodological system or anything, or get you better insurance rates for taking my "course", but I'd be glad to do it.

I've seen driving school cars w/ a Sears sign on them.

I went to John's Driving School in New Brighton. I think it was $199, and that was in 2000.

Actually, even minimum wage would be a lot, when you add up all the hours. Some cookies or something would be acceptable.

I'll vouch for this.

When I was in high school, everyone went to Sears or Barts. Barts is in the south/south-west suburbs. I'm pretty sure either place would work with an adult learner. Before you go paying some random person to teach you (no offense, gauchodaspampas), make sure that you will legally be able to get your license afterwards. I seem to recall that in MN you must have taken an approved drivers ed course to get your license (but that might have only been for the under-18 set, I don't remember for sure). I'm sure the DMV would be able to provide recommendations for you.

Utilitaritron, you up for some driving lessons too? I'll save on costs with more students. (Yeah, I know this person and know he doesn't drive).

Also, I've thought about it more, and I'm sure there are probably insurance implications to teaching people to drive. Even so, my offer stands. If I were to give you lessons, and you seemed totally incompetent, I'd leave it to the pros. Otherwise, I'll take my chances.
