I need my Spider-Man!

I've just accepted a job in Montville, NJ, and I will probably be living somewhere within a 20-30 minute radius. Please to be recommending to me a good comic book store in the area to set up a pull box.

A friend from those parts is a devotee of The Jokers Child in Fair Lawn but I've never had experience with a pull box and I don't think he has either. Maybe others can be of help here.

Take the hike and go to Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash in Red Bank. I don't know if they do pull boxes, but - come on, it's Kevin Smith.

Not a physical comic book shop per se, but heavyink.com is pretty awesome. You can set up subscriptions for comics, and shipping is always free.

They do, and when I lived there, they always treated me swell, but it's a bit of a trek. Closer to Montvale, I definitely remember there being a store with a very good graphic novel collection up around Cedar Grove / Little Falls about 5 or 6 years ago, though I forget the name. Considering the proximity to Montclair State, I'm sure it's not the only one.

To add on to my previous, it might have been here: TimeWarp Comics , but as i said, it's been a while, and I really only popped in there a few times.

I don't think you can really go wrong. The shops in Lake Hiawatha and Whippany are nice little stores run by caring folk--the Whippany store is about 20 years old (in various locations).

You could tour all the nearby stores in a few pleasant hours on a Saturday after you are ensconced. That is probably the best approach.

For humongousness, there is Midtown Comics in NYC, a quick hop (even without superpowers) from the PATH bus terminal
