Blue Vase Mystery

One final attempt. Anyone know where I can find this blue vase?

Or a vase that's similar?

I've spent months trawling different online merchants that carry crystal and 'fine' art objects for the home -- from Orrefors to Target -- to no avail. So, finally, I've come to the MetaMinds collective.

Here's the object.

Does anyone have a clue?

The closest I could find was a Bubble Cylinder Glass Vase from Marks and Spencer (scroll most of the way down the page).

(Keep in mind that things like that, with bubble details and multiple colors, are often handblown, and that might just be a one-off.)

I've seen that vase, or something really similar. I'm trying to find it, but, most of the time when I've seen something it's by Waterford or Marquis by Waterford. For some reason, though, the only thing I can find by them is more turquoise than that vase, which seems kind of smoky, right?

This one is close.

Now I need this vase as well.

Wet Spot's is the right shape but not frosted blue. SpecialK's is frosted blue but not the right shape. Someone hope us.

*shakes fist at Wet Spot*

But found it $20 cheaper at Bed Bath & Beyond.

Response by poster: You're right Justinian!

Curious to see what you were thinking of dpx.mfx.

I went through all my catalogs and can't find it. I especially remember it because of the color. Grrrr.

Here's one similar to SpecialK's but looks like it has a more similar shape, at least. Arg. (You have to click on the blue swatch labeled "teal" under the picture for it to look blue.)

I have seen something very very similar (a set of similar vases, actually) at a store named Ben & Tournesol in Westmount, Quebec. You may be able to phone them and ask if they have similar vases. I had one of the similar ones, but broke it, so I cannot tell you who made it.

It looks like vases I've seen by Per Lutken for Holmgaard. Here is one on Ebay, and here is another; I know you'll be able to find other sources.
My seach terms were "Per Lutken aqua vase" ond "Per Lutken blue vase."

I'm sorry -- the company name is spelled Holmegaard.

Tapio Wirkkala has a bubble line for Iitalla. Some of his vases are very similar, though his bubbles are mostly attached to the base rather than free-floating.

Not the vase you're looking for, but something said Kosta Boda to me. Might be an old collection?
Tab 3 of the New Products link has a Vision vase that is a variation on this theme.
Browse by designer for Goran Warff and he has a Zoom vase that isn't it but is nice.

It's a nice vase, I'm curious if anyone finds it.
