Academic library statistics?

I am looking for statistics on college libraries.

It seems to me that the National Center for Education Statistics used to have a tool on their web site that allowed one to find a college library and then see information such as budget, number of volumes in collection, hours open, number of employees, usage statistics, and so forth.

But, as I look at the site now, I am only able to get such information for public libraries.

Did this tool ever exist for academic libraries? Does it still exist? How can I access it? Are there similar tools online I could be using?

Response by poster: Okay. This is it: http://nces.ed.gov/surveys/libraries/

I love answering my own questions!

But I still am interested in similar tools, if anyone can recommend.

ACRL and ARL both compile stats about some of these factors.

Response by poster: Yes, but it seems that the ACRL and ARL statistics don't give statistics for specific libraries, like the NCES does. That is more what I need. The general statistics, sadly, don't mean anything to my upper management. I am trying to help them better understand what are "competitors" are providing.

Ugh. Management.
