Gmail cursor issue returns

My gmail problem has returned! When I type, the cursor suddenly randomly moves to other places in the text, creating annoyance. AskMefi fix-- changing to UK English-- worked previously but now they've gotten round to making whatever change messed me up in the US on the UK version too. Reverting to older version won't stay reverted. Any ideas greatly appreciated!
What browser? Got any extensions installed? Have you tried disabling them?

I, too, have this problem. On Firefox with Greasemonkey and an ad blocker and in Camino (which has no extensions installed).

Response by poster: yeah, it's plain vanilla firefox-- no extensions installed that I know about.

Another data point, I think maybe I've had this too. Yes, I use a laptop with a trackpad - the same one I use to post to Metafilter, to write reports for college and everything else that doesn't find the cursor jumping all over the place. Running Firefox with an adblocker on OS X.

My Gmail problems (send to Gmail using Google toolbar) have returned too, Maias. The UK loophole is closed, and I haven't found another.

I get this, or something similar, in Safari, on a laptop with a trackpad.

I finally turned off my trackpad.

Response by poster: I use a trackball, no trackpad. So that's not it. Anyone with googly friends who might be able to help? It is really annoying.
