aaahhwooo song desperation

I am desperate to find the title of a song I know little about. Could someone please take a minute of their day/evening to help me identify this song? It would be greatly appreciated.

I am going to take a stab at describing all I know about this song. It may come from a 'alternative' band mid 90's to mid 00's. At different points in the song the vocals will be 'aaaahhhwhoooo.... only on the inside'. The problem is I am not sure of the 'only on the inside' part. Just the 'aaaaahwwooo' part. At the end of the song is a bit of some screaming akin to the lead singer of Filter. Also, the song is a bit slow, semi-balladish. I know this is somewhat goofy, but I have wracked my head for weeks. Thanks.

Best answer: The "aaaahhhwhoooo" makes me think of "Got You (Where I Want You)" by The Flys. From the rest of your description, I'm not so sure it's what you're looking for, but I figured I'd mention it just in case. It's from the album Holiday Man, released 1998.

I don't know about "only on the inside," but "aaaaaahwwooooo" sounds like Warren Zevon's Werewolves of London.
