Who painted this and what is it called?

It was at the NY MoMA.

Best answer: It's Otto Mueller, called "Bathers," from 1919. See this page.

I'm far from being an expert, but I wonder if it's Paul Gaugin.

Tip: when I'm taking photos of art (pictures, sculpture, etc) I always make sure to get a photo of the accompanying card or plaque.
