Songs for skydiving

I need songs about falling and/or flying, but not in a metaphorical sense.

So I'm going skydiving in a month, and have a 45-minute drive to the site. Thus, I decided that I need a good 'skydiving' playlist. Can the hive mind help me find some good songs? I want songs that are explicitly about flying, or falling, excluding things like "I'm falling in love", or "leaving on a jet plane".

I've already figured out Flying-Living Colour, Free Fallin-Tom Petty, Around the Sun-Edwin, Learn to Fly-Foo Fighters. What am I missing?

Flying Sorcery - Al Stewart

With your photographs of Kitty Hawk
And the biplanes on your wall
You were always Amy Johnson
From the time that you were small.
No schoolroom kept you grounded
While your thoughts could get away
You were taking off in Tiger Moths
Your wings against the brush-strokes of the day
Are you there?

On the tarmac with the winter in your hair
By the empty hangar doors you stop and stare
Leave the oil-drums behind you, they won't care
Oh, are you there?

Oh, you wrapped me up in a leather coat
And you took me for a ride
We were drifting with the tail-wind
When the runway came in sight
The clouds came up to gather us
And the cockpit turned to white
When I looked the sky was empty
I suppose you never saw the landing-lights

Are you there?
In your jacket with the grease-stain and the tear
Caught up in the slipstream of dare
The compass roads will guide you anywhere,
Oh, are you there?

The sun comes up on Icarus as the night-birds sail away
And lights the maps and diagrams
That Leonardo makes
You can see Faith, Hope and Charity
As they bank above the fields
You can join the flying circus
You can touch the morning air against your wheels

Are you there?
Do you have a thought for me that you can share?
Oh I never thought you'd take me unawares
Just call me if you ever need repairs
Oh, are you there?

Best answer: One of the greatest songs that involves skydiving (probably a small musical category) is D.B. Cooper by Todd Snider, about the famous skyjacker.

I also recommend the Thermals, St. Rosa and the Swallows.

Here's a video of a solo performance of the D.B. Cooper song. A full band version of the song from one of his records should be available somewhere.

While perhaps not exactly what your looking for, Rocket's Tail by Kate Bush is nonetheless a cool song and has David Gilmour (of Pink Floyd) on guitar, from her album 'The Sensual World'. Dont watch the link, its dumb, just listen.

And just for inspiration but not a song I add:

High Flight

Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds - and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of - wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air.
Up, up the long delirious, burning blue,
I've topped the windswept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, or even eagle flew -
And, while with silent lifting mind I've trod
The high untresspassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand and touched the face of God.

John Gillespie Magee

Have fun!

Best answer: Long ago my roommates at the time went skydiving, and got to choose the music for the video. The first song was Ride The Wild Wind by Queen from their Innuendo album. Ever since I've associated that song with skydiving.
