Romantic yet awesome?

Feelin' in the gift-giving mood for my dearest boy. Am not so much feeling the ideas, for once. Suggestions?

So it's almost finals time around here, and my college-age love and I are about to be absolutely swamped. I haven't done anything to surprise him in a really long time, and I would love to get or make him something little but nice for after finals, especially since he will be gone for two weeks after school ends. But, with the stress of studying and everything else, I am drawing a complete blank. What have you done for your loved one in the past, and do you have any suggestions? Romantic is good. Freakin' awesome is better.

Background: I am a hardcore student with artistic leanings, have been involved in theatre, and a love of foreign languages. He is a music major (trombone and bass), also with a love of languages, a professional mechanic, an amateur blacksmith, carpenter, and anything else that involves taking things apart or doing things with his hands. He loves things obscure and/or homemade.

Previous gifts have included: a St. Brigid's cross necklace (patron saint of smiths), books I thought he would like, awesome vintage coats, a homemade leather flogger for Christmas after he mentioned wanting to try something new in bed.

As always, hivemind, thanking you in advance!

Depends on the guy but I usually go to thinkgeek.com for silly nothings for the guy. I like the geek toy stuff.

Couples massage with two really good therapists.

After finals? He's a boy? He'll probably want food and (as mentioned above) a massage. Make him dinner, dessert and (if appropriate) drinks. Make it so he doesn't have to do anything other than show up at the right time and place.

If you learn how to give the massage yourself (properly -- not a backrub, but a true massage) you'll have a gift that'll keep giving as long as you're together. And if you're really good it'll make him feel like he'll never want to let you go.

This question comes up once a month or so - Have you looked through previous threads? Start with gifts or gift, and branch out from there.

Yourself, naked, with the names of love written on yourself in as many languages as you can think of. Or food. whichever.

Tickets to a concert? A girl bought me tickets to see Radiohead and I was floored by the gesture because even though I am totally into them she's not.

Response by poster: God bless, people, I thought the college student would kind of hint that I don't have $300 to drop. Although the Bug thing is amazing and now I want one.

I am thinking I will probably cook a meal and give him a Swedish firestarter from thinkgeek. Because they are both reasonably priced and awesome. Maybe a note, too: "Now every time you burn the crap out of yourself you'll think of me."

Sex of course is a given. :D Thanks everyone!
