I need some information on colchicum autumnale.

What is the age of reproductive maturity/generation time of colchicum autumnale? Also, I need its number of offspring and its lifespan. I'm doing this for homework and can't find the information anywhere (been searching google for a while now!). Any help would be appreciated, please cite your references. Thank you.

Rodale's Illustrated Encyclopedia of Herbs suggest that reproductive maturity is attained at age 3 to 6 years when grown from seed, although it is often grown from a corm (bulb). The plant produces 1 to 3 fruits that contain the seeds.

FYI: It's usually not a good idea to do your homework using Ask Metafilter. The community has kinda frowned on that in the past.
