I'm looking for net t-shirts.

I'm looking for a particular kind of t-shirt, the most comfortable that I've ever owned.

When I was in high school in the late 1970's, net shirts were all the rage. It was a fad that died out almost entirely by the 80's, but during the late 70's, I was able to find the most comfortable shirts I've ever worn. These were sold through K-mart, and were a cotton/polyester blend. They were sold as "undershirts" as that was the terminology back then. While many "net" shirts back then were quite coarse in weave, these were quite fine. I would say the net holes were only about 1mm across.

I know it's possible to get football jersey "net" shirts that seem to be entirely synthetic, but that's not what I'm looking for. I was able to buy a net shirt with a collar some years back that seemed to fit the material/fine hole size criteria, but I'm still looking for t-shirts.

I live in Seattle, and would like to purchase at retail locally, but I have a feeling that I may have to buy online, if this product is even still available.

Are such things even made anymore?

There were a load of Caribean/West Indian wholesalers on the road near where I used to live in London (Commercial Street). They *all* sold them in various colours and blends. I always thought it was strange - until today - because now I can tell you to try West Indian or Carirbean clothing companies. Yay!

Response by poster: Hmmmm... Perhaps "mesh" is a more effective search term than "net" for what I'm looking for?

Might want to try using airtex shirt as a search term, it's the same material I think.
