What happened to the bad guys? Did they get away with it?

How do I find out the results of a trial?
Every so often you hear about a murder or crime or something and somebody gets arrested. But it seems like you rarely hear how it ends. For instance, this one has bugged me for a long time. As much as I search, I just want to know what happened to the guys they arrested.
Where do people look for how things end?
Well, somebody was convicted. Can't see who without ponying up $2.95 though.

If it's in the news, then a service like LexisNexis can help (or even just the NYT archives if it would be covered). Authorities arrested George Cobo and Tony Lee Simpson for the murders.
They were each sentenced to 100 years in prison (New York Daily News, November 30, 1995, p. 38).

Apparently "Tony Lee Simpson" IS in the NY database I mentioned, with a birth year of 1971 and an incarceration date of 1995. He was convicted of two counts of second degree murder and one count of robbery, so I'm betting he's your guy.

Best answer: Oh regarding how I did it, I first searched LN for [chitresh rao khedker] to find who was arrested ("Prince" is a detail that will only narrow your search more than you want). Then I searched on their names to find out the outcome.
Now if you were interested in a case that wasn't in the news, you'd probably have to get the records from the court in question.

Cobo was convicted on the same charges.
And if it makes you feel better, neither are eligible for parole until 2093.

You can search both civil and criminal cases in New York here (only going back to 2001, so the Khedker case cannot be found).

Best answer: If you call the court, they'll tell you what happened. You can also call the defense attorney or the prosecutor, and either one can tell you the outcome.

Response by poster: Well, I guess that's it. If it's not on the internet, you have to go to the court and ask. Thanks guys.
