Portland area auto mechanics?

Please recommend your favorite transit-friendly Portland (OR) area auto mechanic for my aging chevy pickup.

I am looking for a competent, honest mechanic for my 12-year-old Chevy S-10 pickup, in a location convenient for my MAX-based commute to Hillsboro. I have to be in Hillsboro (Orenco Station) before 7:30 am on weekdays, so I would prefer not to venture too far east unless your fabulous mechanic is open on weekends. Also, I'm a girl, and I appreciate being treated like a sentient being when talking about my car.

Where should go for routine maintenance?

Where should I go for serious issues and older-vehicle-malaise?

I've used a Korean guy out in Beaverton a few times for a 1999 VW (now out of the garage and out of my life, thank FSM!) I believe he works on anything with wheels, and I've never thought he was recommending more work than was reasonable, nor did the car ever come back with something new broken. His English isn't great, but we both speak Japanese, so we can get by.

His name is Chon Ho Tae, at Lucky Auto Body Paint & Repair in Beaverton: 4460 SW 142nd, 97005. 503-646-9016.

Good luck!
