Help finding where to buy small gauge chain in bulk

I'm looking for a very small gauge chain, I think the style is called Curb or Gourmette, its not for jewelry so if its called something else i wouldn't be surprised...
my problem is that i need it to be pretty small gauge, pretty much the size of the ball chain you see on light bulb pulls or dog tags. its for something decorative so I don't want to use the ball chain thats so readily available, but just a chromed steel is fine (no silver, gold, etc.).
I thought it used to be used on bathtub stopper pulls but when I mention that, everyone just points me to ball chain.

Response by poster: That might work, I was thinking of something a little flatter/decorative but that might work, do you know how the "size" is measured? is the 1.6mm the diameter of the inside hole? or the whole link?

Best answer: If you're willing to dig through their pdf catalog, metalliferous has a wide variety of base metal chains available.

Neighborhood hardware stores and/or hobby stores sometimes have spools of it. If they don't, they could probably order it. I've seen it at both, but don't know what it's called.

(specifically, page 9 here [pdf] might be a good place to look.)

I'm fairly certain that the diameter is always the inside hole, not the entire link.
