Metafites: What are some ways I can promote my blook?
Please share with me any websites, advice or point me to blook writing communities that would help me acquire more readers.

Well, posting it to Projects was a start. Is there any kind of conflict-of-interest involved in posting it there and asking about it here?
Anyhow, to promote a web site you should probably do some search-engine optimization and maybe also advertise through Google.

Response by poster: emyd: Wikipedia has a pretty exhaustive writeup here.

Meet with booksellers, give them free copies of your book. Tell them why you're excited about the book and try to get them excited about it too. Especially do this at independent stores.
On the off chance that you're self-publishing please keep in mind that stores will be less likely to order the book if it's non-returnable.
Go down to your local newspaper, alt-weekly, and what not and speak to the person who does book reviews. Give them a copy of your book and tell them what makes it awesome.
If you have lots of friends, try to set up a reading/signing locally. Try to get on local author panels for book festivals.

If your goal were to promote your blook to me, it would be a big mistake to refer to it as a "blook" rather than a "book". "Blook" sounds gimicky, and is so off-putting for me that I would decide against buying it before even attempting to assess its content.
I am not sure whether your intended promotional audience will feel similarly, but it is probably at least worth thinking about.

PoopyDoop,
Could you give me some links to blooks so I know what you mean?

Response by poster: survivorman: Hackoff.com is probably the most prominant blook out there, and there are others recently posted in MetaFilter Projects (which is all I'll say).
gorillawarfare: Only a few years ago I thought the word "blog" sounded gimmicky too (as did many other people), but it seems to have gained acceptance.

Blog about it? Presumably if your blog is popular enough to warrant blookification, you should have no problems.

Oh. Never mind. Apparently you don't know what a blook is either.
