Cheaper hotel near 4Seasons Chinzan-so in Tokyo

I am going to a conference at the Four Seasons Hotel at Chinzan-so in Tokyo. I can't afford to stay there. Any recommendations of nearby hotels that are cheaper?

This isn't exactly what you're asking for but you may be able to find a local to host you through couchsurfing?

Are you willing to take the subway? How long of a trip are you willing to take? What's your budget?

Anyway, if you're willing to take the subway, I can recommend the Asia Center. Cheap, clean, and private, but not particularly close. Should be about 20 minutes on the subway.

Best answer: Mejiro, where the Four Seasons is located, is one stop away from Ikebukuro on the Yamanote Line. You should be able to find many business hotels to stay in Ikebukuro. Examples: here , here, here. Those are just the few places that I picked up that had English sites. And I'm sure someone else will come along and suggest staying in a love hotel, of which there are tons in Ikebukuro...
