I'm looking for a 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" ("memo-size") 3 or 4-ring binder that will hold at least 650 sheets

not to be rude, but did you just enter those specs into google? A simple "5-1/2" x 8-1/2 binder" search pops up a lot of stores, as well, try officemax and such like.

Response by poster: yes i did, and I either came up with 4" binders that hold standard paper or 1" binders that hold half-sheets, nothing bigger though.

I haven't found one either. Why can't you get a Filofax-size binder with D-rings? Because they don't exist. A friend from Pakistan had a binder with oversize rings, but he said he'd never seen them outside of Pakistan. If you find one, let me know.
